Hello Everyone! Welcome to the newly launched JDog Spouses Blog! I am excited to provide you with insight into our JDog world, have guest blogs from our JDog Military Spouses, and much more! So to start off you’re probably wondering who am I? Well, my name is Tracy Flanagan and I am a Veteran Spouse to my wonderful husband and Army Veteran Jerry Flanagan, Co-Founder and Sr. VP of JDog Franchises. I would like to take this opportunity to say Happy Veterans’ Day! To everyone who has served and are still serving, thank you for all you do to allow us to enjoy the freedoms we have every day. I would also like to thank any Mil Spouses out there as well for your service and sacrifice. Without your support, your Spouses would not be able to do what they are called to do every day.
Veterans’ Day has always been special to me as it was my Step-father’s birthday and he was a Korean War Army Veteran. Thanks, Dad! It has become even more meaningful as our mission at JDog is to help Military Veterans and Family Members. We do this by putting them into business ownership or connecting them with our JDog franchisees locally to explore job opportunities. It means so much to me that here at JDog we have provided an incredible opportunity for our Veterans that does not exist out in the private sector. We don’t just offer employment and the dream of owning their own business, we offer that “ethos of brotherhood” that they miss when they leave the Military. Many of our JDogs say that when they find JDog they feel that they have come “home”. At JDog, we honor Veterans’ Day by participating in our local Veterans’ Day Parade. Personally, I give flowers at my church in honor of my Dad, our Veterans and Military service men and women. Although we take the time on this day once a year, I would like to challenge myself and everyone reading this to try and do more. When you see a Veteran or someone who currently serves, take time out of your day to simply say thank you for everything you do. I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences and those of others over the next year! Feel free to email me with ideas or questions of things you’d like to know/hear about email@example.com
